Every now and then I get the timing just about right… On Thursday evening I walked into the Boulevard Tavern to get a quick tipple after my nightly “urban hike”; something I do regularly with friends for exercise. I bellied up to the bar and as always, I was met with big smile from Kelly my favorite happy-hour bartend-ess in WV. We go back many years.

CHARLESTON, W.Va.-Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin today announced the selection of Ron Moats to serve as Commissioner of the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (WVABCA), replacing Dallas Staples. Mr. Moats’ appointment is effective immediately.

“I appreciate the time and work Dallas completed while at WVABCA and wish him well,” said Gov. Tomblin.
